  • Do your homework – quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Create urgency
  • Increase the dissatisfaction level
  • Everyone must see the current state as not sustainable
  • Communicate for understanding and buy-in
  • It is impossible to over-communicate
  • Empower your team from the inside-out
  • Eliminate barriers and obstacles
  • Seek and celebrate short-term wins – quickly and publicly
  • Relentless push – be ready for Newton’s Law – equal and opposite reaction
  • Hope is not a strategy
