Great four minutes of Bill Belichick mic’d up on the sideline for a Patriots Monday night win over the Packers.

The thing that strikes me the most is his composure. They show footage of him on the sidelines when he’s team is scoring touchdowns and when they are giving up touchdowns, and you would never know the difference. You’d have no idea by watching him what just happened on the sideline.

This level of composure really helps you connect with your players. When you do get upset or their needs to be a sense of urgency, they take it seriously, because generally they see you on an even keel. There seems to be a great level of consistency to the way he coaches his team.

If you want your team to play with composure, they need to see a composed coach.
